# Aquilo Solution·S GmbH

> Aquilo Solution·S GmbH is a small German software company building tools that align people, simplify work, and inspire them to do good.

Aquilo is named after the Latin word for the north wind — a wind known for being strong, reliable and clear, and in philosophy for blowing away old ideas to make room for new ones. The company builds software with the same intent: reliability, simplicity in use, and a clear path for customers to reach their goals.

Mark Straßberger and Heinrich von Helmolt met in 2022 while working on a marine project in France. Across construction, real estate and manufacturing they kept seeing the same pattern: teams held back by fragmented tools and misaligned priorities. They founded Aquilo in December 2022, began building in 2024, and launched the first product, NeKo Check, in 2026.

The company works in public where it can. Proxima, the memory substrate behind Aquilo's own agents, is open source and free to self-host. Infrastructure runs on self-hosted hardware in Falkenstein, Germany, under German and EU data-protection law.

- **Mark Straßberger** — CEO & Founder. Third-generation real estate entrepreneur, running the family business since 2008, with companies across real estate development, construction and marine industries in Germany. His experience of the gap between digital tools and real-world operations across more than 15 ventures drives Aquilo's product vision.
