CEO & Founder
With entrepreneurial experience spanning back to his teenage years, Mark brings hands-on knowledge from the construction industry. As CEO of the family business since 1997, he has led several construction projects to success throughout Germany. His practical insights into industry challenges drive Aquilo's vision and strategy.
Heinrich von Helmolt
CTO & Development Lead
Heinrich brings extensive experience in production software development and leading international teams. As the technical visionary behind Aquilo, he combines his leadership skills with hands-on expertise in coding, CI/CD pipelines, and microservice architecture to create robust, scalable solutions.

In Philosophy this wind is referenced as blowing away old Ideas and clearing the mind. Making space for new Ideas and thoughts. This is what we want to achieve with our products. Our Story
The Idea (2022)
The idea for Aquilo was born in 2022 when Mark and Heinrich met at Privilege Marine in Les Sables d'Olonne, France. Mark wanted to expand his business in boat building and immediately recognized the digitalization challenges in manufacturing. Seeing firsthand how digital transformation could revolutionize the industry, they decided to create a solution that would bridge these gaps.
Development Launch (2024)
After extensive research and concept refinement, Aquilo officially began development on November 1, 2024. The company combines Mark's hands-on business experience with Heinrich's software development expertise to create solutions that address real industry problems with scalable, professionally implemented technology.
First MVP (2025)
The first Minimum Viable Product is scheduled for testing at a construction site in Kassel, Germany, managed by Mark's company. This real-world implementation provides a unique advantage: immediate feedback from actual users in a production environment, ensuring Aquilo addresses genuine industry needs from day one.
